Elasticity today announced that marketing and public relations industry veteran Ann Balsamo has joined the firm as vice president of accounts, effective April 15.
A seasoned communicator, Balsamo brings 10 years of agency experience at FleishmanHillard and Weber Shandwick, where she led accounts for a wide variety of brands and organizations with emphasis on consumer marketing and consumer technology. Her early career was spent in non-profit marketing while Balsamo has worked the past five years managing her own financial services practice with Northwestern Mutual.
“Having experience working with Ann from our years at Fleishman, we’re thrilled to add someone with her acumen to the Elasticity team at a time of great growth for the firm,” said Elasticity Partner Brian Cross.
Balsamo’s experience includes managing business for Energizer, AT&T, the 2010 U.S. Census, McDonald’s, Hitachi, P&G, Beech-Nut Baby Food, Brown Shoe, the Saint Louis Symphony, the St. Louis Art Museum and many others.
“At large agencies I’ve had the opportunity to work with great clients and colleagues, but in a business model that can put the holding company ahead of client service and the people who make the agency great,” said Balsamo. “I love to grow business with great, strategic, fun and meaningful communication and am looking forward to contributing to the ridiculously refreshing culture at Elasticity.”
