It’s the time of year when everyone comes out with their end-of-year “best of” listicles. From best albums to best TV shows to best apps, there’s a list for just about everything.

We here at Elasticity don’t believe in limiting ourselves to a specific category. We want everyone to express their uniqueness and individuality, so we encouraged the office to contribute something they personally enjoyed that came out of 2015.

To Pimp a Butterfly blew me away when it was released in February, and in June, I saw him headline the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in what will most definitely be one of the most memorable nights of my life. He is an exceptional rapper, and his live shows are a spectacle, complete with a full band and all the energy you’d expect out of the man who made good kid, m.A.A.d city. If Kendrick has taught me anything, it’s that we’re gonna be alright, so bring on 2016. Let’s do this, ya bish.”

“I love this album for a lot of reasons. Among them: It steers us back to real, kick-ass, raw country music, not pop-country. There’s some Beck-like thematic experimentation throughout that keeps it modern and edgy; Sturgill is a fellow eastern Kentucky redneck like me, and he covers “The Promise” — a really dorky ‘80s song by When in Rome — in a way that makes you actually want to listen to it.”

“Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) was found naked (in a bag with a note to call the FBI on it) in the middle New York’s Time Square, covered in tattoos with no memory of who she is or how she got there. Then later, after working with the FBI, you find out that her tattoos hold the key to discovering crimes that are about to be committed. You’re one step closer to finding out the truth about who Jane Doe really is, besides being a badass with Navy Seal training. With that said, this series is addicting with the suspense and unexpected turns, and it doesn’t hurt that Jane is easy on the eyes. However, I am a tad butthurt that I have to wait till February for the show to start back up again.
