The American Mustache Institute –  Launched in 2007, AMI was developed as an online community for mustache enthusiasts and  men’s humor.  At the same time, it has served as a test case of the triangulation between social networks, digital media, and traditional media – having a steady flow of regular visitors (75,000 monthly), and becoming the central hub on mustache information, Dave Navarro hatred, and other stupid stuff for consumers, bloggers, Mr. T impersonators and media alike.
