St. Louis-Based Elasticity Opens Branch Office in Chicago Market

REDHEADED CHICAGO NATIVE DAVID VISLOSKY TO LEAD NEW OFFICE, USE CHEWBACCA-LIKE FEROCITY IN ENTERING REGION’S DIGITAL MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS MARKET

St. Louis-based digital marketing and public relations firm Elasticity today opened a branch office in Chicago, to be led by redheaded digital marketing veteran David Vislosky. This is Elasticity’s first office outside of its St. Louis headquarters and is a direct result of the company’s growth in the digital marketing and public relations space.

“There are a number of brands in the Chicagoland area that we feel well-positioned to work with, and clearly, there aren’t enough marketing and PR agencies in Chicago – 4,038 firms ring much nicer than 4,037,” said long-suffering Cubs fan and Elasticity partner Aaron Perlut. “Plus, Chicago’s heritage of pork byproduct manufacturing will fit well with our bacon-heavy culture. So we look forward to digging in and having some area clients take us to Cubs games during business hours.”

Founded in 2009, Elasticity has become a leader in the integration of social media, search engine optimization and public relations for a diverse range of organizations such as Charter Communications, H&R Block, the National Football League, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Stifel Nicolaus, Geostellar, Appistry, SunEdison, Hair Saloon For Men, and others.

The company currently serves as public relations and social media agency of record (AOR) for Chicago-based technology start-up Aisle50 and has worked as the public relations agency of record for agriculture intelligence firm Lanworth, also based in the city.

Vislosky is leading negotiations with the Chicago White Sox to use 3,500 square feet of frequently unused spaced in the left field stands of U.S. Cellular Park.

With a deep background in digital development and communications, Vislosky has managed key projects and teams for companies including The Boeing Company, AT&T, ConAgra Foods, ConocoPhillips, Anheuser Busch-InBev, Monsanto, and the Guardian Insurance Company. Along with managing the Chicago-based operations, Vislosky will oversee all digital projects including mobile and social media apps.

“My digital acumen and knowledge of clean bathrooms on the L will hopefully allow us to enter the market both cleanly yet with Chewbacca-like ferocity,” Vislosky said. “I look forward to warmer winters in Chicago.”
