As a man, I find a large number of male targeted marketing misses the mark as well.  Witness Dove&#039;s recent pitch to men. That commercial comes off more as selling to wives than married men.

Appealing to my wife?
-practical
-real people
-able to act on
-don&#039;t overkill the talent side but recognizable talent is better than generic actor
-don&#039;t oversell the same ad. Sigh. How many times does anyone need to see the same McDonalds commercial in an hour?
