Cedar Creek: Meet. Stay. Play. Branding a Rustic Destination Resort
For more than a decade, Cedar Creek Conference Center was open only to corporate groups, organizations and events. However, the owners saw much more potential in this scenic destination, located in the heart of Missouri Wine Country. For years, family members enjoyed hiking, fishing, swimming and golfing on the property, but they saw the opportunity to grow Cedar Creek Conference Center into a consumer destination, rich with history and an expansive list of activities. That’s when they approached Elasticity to help transform the conference center into a vacation getaway for families, couples and individuals.
To communicate that Cedar Creek was more than just a conference center, we had to completely rebrand the identity. We changed the name from Cedar Creek Conference Center to simply Cedar Creek, and created a logo mark that exemplified the rustic elegance and playful spirit of the resort. We also wanted the tagline to be simple, yet articulate all there was to do at Cedar Creek.
The new brand identity was translated across all marketing assets, as well as on an updated website. The new brand identity has helped drive consumer visits, while maintaining the corporate/group clientele that was the original bread and butter.
