Award-winning brand marketing and reputation management agency Elasticity, which opened a Denver presence in late 2019, today announced it has hired longtime brand strategist Benji Vega as Senior Vice President, Brand, to help lead the firm’s growth into new markets.

A veteran advertising executive, Vega led Creative Energy Group to being named Ad Age’s “Small Agency of the Year” in 2019, and has also held senior leadership and brand strategy roles with the Denver-based Augustine Institute as well as in Dallas with The Richards Group and its subsidiary PYRO, Leo Burnett and DDB.

“I’ve known Benji for more than 25 years and suffice to say we are thrilled to add someone of his caliber to our team,” said Elasticity partner Aaron Perlut, who relocated from St. Louis to open the Denver office for the agency. “He is a gifted storyteller and recognized leader in our industry, and we are certain he will elevate our already strong strategic offering.”

Born in Puerto Rico, Vega grew up the son of a U.S. Army Colonel, speaking both English and Spanish, and traveled the world extensively.Benji

“It helped me develop an understanding of diverse peoples and cultures, which in turn, instilled a passion for understanding what makes us individually unique, yet all the same,” said Vega. “My fascination with communications evolved into a love of brand storytelling across all media founded upon sound strategic insights that help brands stand alone through a distinct and captivating market position.”

Vega lives with his wife and eight children (yes, 8!) in Denver’s Holly Hills community.

In metro-Denver, Elasticity works with the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Boulder County Dept. of Health, the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation and the Denver Scholarship Foundation. Nationally, the agency’s data-centric approach to marketing and building brand reputation has been embraced and leveraged by the likes of Mattress Firm, MasterCard, Spectrum Communications, the State of Missouri, H&R Block, Best Buy, CapitalOne, Fireball Whisky, Bud Light, Northwestern University, Monsanto, the University of Illinois, the St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank, the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Downtown STL, Inc. among others.

The firm’s offerings include:

  • Branding, design and digital content strategy
  • Social media community management and social customer service
  • Media buying and performance marketing
  • Influencer + public relations
  • Multicultural communications
  • Web + app development
  • Search marketing
  • Marketing insights and analytics.

Along with Elasticity’s Denver location, it has offices in St. Louis at the agency’s headquarters, Los Angeles, Dallas, where the firm’s multicultural practice is based; and Chicago, where the agency manages its digital app and website development efforts.
