Award-winning brand marketing and reputation management agency Elasticity today announced the addition of two senior leaders to guide the agency’s public relations and media buying practice groups.

Jason Michael, a longtime public relations practitioner with deep expertise in technology and consumer media relations, joins Elasticity in Denver as senior vice president, public relations. Michael has spent the past seven years at Barokas Communications, and prior to that was with COHN Marketing and FleishmanHillard. He has counseled organizations including General Motors, Panera Bread, Famous Footwear and Visa along with startups such as Craftsy, Ibotta, Pokemon, Remitly and the Seattle Kraken.

“I serve as somewhat of a psychiatrist for clients,” said Michael. “And Elasticity shares a belief I’ve long had—we’re partners, not vendors—up all night sweating with our clients. We’re going to be a PR powerhouse known for hustle, outworking everyone. The best thing we can offer is everything we’ve got, and I’m aiming for nothing less at Elasticity.”

With significant experience planning and buying both digital and traditional media, Miranda Ochsner joins Elasticity in St. Louis as vice president, media strategy, after spending more than a decade in the advertising industry at agencies including Fishawack Health, 2e Creative, HLK and others. She has worked across a variety of industry verticals including healthcare, finance, education, and retail including SSM Health, Webster University, Central Bancompany, Abbvie, MiTek Industries, and 3M to name a few.

“Media is not just a job to me, it’s a true passion,” said Ochsner. “I find it to be an exciting challenge to not only understand how to best reach target audiences with media, but also how we can best deliver actionable yet digestible insights to continue driving success of campaigns for clients. I look forward to the opportunity to work with an established media offering and to partner with clients to meet and exceed their expectations.”

Elasticity’s data-centric approach to marketing and building brand reputation has been embraced and leveraged by the likes of Mattress Firm, MasterCard, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, the State of Missouri, CapitalOne, Fireball Whisky, the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation, Northwestern University, and the St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank among others.

“We are coming out of the initial shocks of the post-COVID world stronger than ever,” said Elasticity Partner Brian Cross.  “Having seasoned veterans in key leadership positions helps our clients and our team members greatly.  And it shows our commitment to being a national player with a reach that will grow from St. Louis, Denver and Dallas to LA, Portland and Seattle now.  We’re thrilled at this new chapter for Elasticity and adding such great people to an already amazing team.”

With offices in St. Louis, Denver, Dallas and Los Angeles, Elasticity partners with a broad range of big brands, governments, not-for-profits and startups, serving as an idea catalyst and working to stretch the boundaries of digital and traditional brand marketing and reputation management.
