Award-winning integrated communications agency Elasticity introduced veteran influencer marketing and social media campaign manager Jessica Sanderson as Director of Social Media. In leading Elasticity’s social media team — which has managed social media and digital analytics efforts for GoDaddy, Spectrum, Fireball Whisky, Bud Light, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and others — Sanderson will drive development of customized strategies for its clients.
“We’re thrilled to bring Jessica on board to lead our social media and influencer efforts,” said Elasticity Partner Brian Cross. “As anyone who’s met her knows that Jessica is a whirlwind of creative energy, and that makes her a perfect fit for our team. She’s a natural disruptor, and I can’t wait to see the unique campaign strategies she’ll develop for our clients.”
Based in Sarasota, Fla., where she will continue to live, Sanderson’s background is anything but typical. At the urging of her high school computer science teacher, she began working as a web designer at 16. She’s since built an independent career in social media marketing and campaign management by building, selling and experimenting. She executed influencer campaigns before they were “a thing,” as Sanderson notes, managing social accounts with millions of followers and appearing on The Martha Stewart Show with Perez Hilton to teach people how to blog in 2009. She is the founder of Modern Day Moms, one of the most popular parenting communities on the Internet, as well as blogs like All Things Cupcake, Yummy Tattoos, Beauty Buzz, and more.
“Directing social media at a digital-first agency like Elasticity is a dream job, and I’m excited to add my expertise in influencer marketing and social campaigns to the team,” said Sanderson, a mother of two and a novice bass player. “I’ve been called a ‘creative bull in a china shop,’ and I’m excited to know that energy has a place at Elasticity.”
