The fine folks at Elasticity are seeking a talented Designer that is both a creative thinker, as well as a disciplined doer. At Elasticity, we’re interested in creating smart, strategic, sometimes shocking campaigns for a list of clients as diverse as the world itself. Interested?
Here’s, what we need:
Ok, so we have a ‘job’ available – but let’s face it – this is kind of about you. If we have to tell you exactly what the job will entail or what you’ll be doing, we clearly would have omitted the words ‘creative’ and ‘thinker’ from the albeit brief, but direct job description. You should have personal goals, standards, ethics, brilliant ideas. We won’t be here to pat you on the back for every job well done, because if you nailed it, you’ll know and you’ll pat yourself on the back and have the balls to challenge the rest of the team to one up themselves the next time around. It’s not about ego, it’s about diligently and consistently creating a body of work that you can take pride in, personally, not just for your boss, fame or accolades. If at the end of a ‘good’ day, you continue to challenge yourself, you’re welcome here at Elasticity.
Compromise, respect, communication – no, we’re not talking about your girlfriend/boyfriend/children/marriage – we’re talking about the delicate client/creative relationship. Our advice – If you’re a ‘virgin’ to the nuances of the client/creative relationship, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY. A client may not know what they want, mean what they say or even like any idea that’s ever been presented to them. Your move? You should always know your next move, your plan B, your get our of jail card. All successful creatives learn to work with the client and build a strong relationship that ultimately produces successful work that everyone feels good about.
Along with a portfolio of work samples, please provide a brief description of your very first employment endeavor (a.k.a your first job), and explain how this particular job did or did not set you on a path to pursue a career in creative. Our current Creative Director was a Cobbler (yes, you may need a dictionary), so you have your work (no pun intended) cut out for you.
