  1. Dear intern selection committee:
I don’t want to bore you with a letter listing off everything you’ll read in my resume. I’m going to get straight to the point.
We live in an era where every click, every impression, and every action can be measured. I believe social media is crucial for companies to make a name and place for themselves. Because I fall on the border of being a generation X-er and a young millennial, there’s nothing more satisfying than scrolling through my social media feeds to get caught up on what’s happening around the world.
I have relevant experience to contribute to the team. I’ve had the privilege of working as a social media coordinator for organizations. I’ve learned to be more creative and understand digital audiences. Specifically, I can benefit your team with a creative perspective while still being strategic these aren’t the only things I would contribute.
I love photography. Living in small town America and Lyon, France has been a catalyst to my new found hobby. City skylines and waterfronts make beautiful Instagram posts (check out @thatshortchickalyssa for some gold).
Thank you for considering me for this position.I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you by phone to give you a glimpse into the many other reasons I’m the right fit for your team. I sincerely hope you consider me above the many other passionate candidates applying for this position.
