Longtime journalist and engagement specialist Lindsay Toler has joined Elasticity at the company’s St. Louis headquarters.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Lindsay to the Elasticity team,” said Elasticity Partner Aaron Perlut. “I’ve known her for a decade and she brings strong writing skills, a demonstrated expertise in engaging with audiences on social media and a passion for digital communications to the agency.”

Toler joins Elasticity from St. Louis Public Radio where she used social media, e-newsletters and live-streaming to connect audiences to local news. She also founded the “House Show” music series and hosted the NPR affiliate’s first Twitch show, “Too Much News.”

“I’m excited to join a team where I can keep experimenting with new online tools and strategies,” Toler said. “Elasticity’s collaborative company culture makes this a wonderful workplace for someone like me who wants to tell true stories with creative flair.”

A native Texan, Toler’s work and love of travel have taken her around the world. In China, she covered gymnastics at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics and wrote about life and culture for the Dallas Morning News. She also lived in London, where she covered everything from terrorism to high fashion for the Associated Press. Toler also served in the Peace Corps as a health teacher in Moldova and can still order a beer in Romanian, allegedly.

“We’re delighted to add Lindsay’s experience in journalism, live events and digital communications to our team,” said Elasticity Partner Brian Cross. “We’re also excited to have her contribute to our strong social media marketing strategies.”
