The Most Powerful Growth Strategy You Can’t Buy: Relationships
Jen Stamulis | Business Development / Account Manager

When people ask me how Elasticity has grown over the years, how we have landed clients, built campaigns we are proud of, and worked with some of the coolest people on the planet—the answer usually surprises them.

It is not just paid media. It is not flashy awards or a killer email cadence.

It’s relationships. It’s referrals. It’s people.

The Brutal Reality of Outbound

Do not get me wrong. We work hard to pursue new opportunities. Cold outreach, proposal writing, and pitch meetings are all part of the grind. And frankly, it can feel a lot like job hunting: Sending out messages into the void, pouring hours into customized decks, brainstorming ideas we should probably be charging for, only to be ghosted without so much as a “thanks, but no thanks.”

It is not for the faint of heart and a stark reminder that trust cannot be manufactured; it has to be earned.

This is why, when someone refers us to a colleague, brings us into their new company, or simply shares our name with a friend, it means everything. It is the difference between pushing a boulder uphill and being invited in because someone already believes in what we can do.

The Ripple Effect of Trust

In an industry obsessed with the next big thing, one thing remains timeless: Doing exceptional work and treating people right. That is the foundation. And the ripple effect is powerful.

Former clients who have moved to new companies have said, “Elasticity has to be part of this.”

Past team members who are now sitting client-side have picked up the phone to bring us in.

Friends of friends have mentioned us in meetings.

Even someone simply sharing a blog post like this one can spark a conversation that grows into something bigger.

Every referral is a chain reaction that we do not take for granted.

Referrals Are More Than Just Leads

When someone refers us to a potential client, it is not just a sales lead. It is a show of faith. It is someone staking a bit of their own reputation on our ability to deliver. That is not something we ever take lightly.

In a world where it is easy to be overlooked or forgotten in the noise of outbound efforts, being invited in by someone who knows us, trusts us, and believes in what we do is a gift.

And we are here to honor it.

Thank You, for Yesterday and Tomorrow

To every client who has brought us with them as they have grown in their careers, to every former Elasticity team member who has stayed in our corner, and to every friend, colleague, or connection who has said, “You should talk to Elasticity,” thank you.

You are the reason we have been able to keep doing what we love: building impactful campaigns for brands we admire, alongside people we respect.

And to those who might help us in the future, even by sharing this post, thank you as well. You are fueling the next chapter of our story.

We Will Keep Showing Up

We do not chase vanity metrics. We chase real connections; build campaigns that stick, move people, spark action, and create something lasting; and above all, we keep showing up with heart, hustle, and humanity.

Here is to the relationships that got us here. And here’s to the ones that will take us even further.
